You’ve likely heard about the Coronavirus (officially called “2019-Novel Coronavirus” or “COVID-19”) in the news. While the immediate health risk remains low to Americans and there isn’t a vaccine yet, there are still ways that you can help prevent the spread of this virus.

To prevent the spread of this illness or other illnesses, including the flu:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water

  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze

  • Stay home when you are sick

  • See your primary care physician if you think you are ill

Visit The Centers for Disease Control website for more information on the Coronavirus, including what you should know about symptoms, treatments, testing, and other frequently asked questions.

Sincerely,

The HealthCare.gov Team

In addition to the above recommendations MWC providers recommend:

Drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces daily and increase that amount when running a fever or purging fluids

Take a multivitamin, probiotics, and Vitamins C & D daily

Visit your pharmacy for other preventative measures such as Colloidal Silver and Elderberry syrup

In response to COVID-19 we ask that patients that have been running a fever over 100, coughing, or have shortness of breath to remain home until you have been symptom free for 48 hours. We ask this in order to reduce exposure to other patients, our healthcare team, and to the local community.
