Maximum Wellness Chiropractic, LLC offers safe, gentle, and effective treatment specifically tailored to the patient’s individual needs. Building on a wellness philosophy, we believe in educating our patients and community in ways to promote a healthy, active lifestyle. We welcome people of all ages, from the newest of newborns to the centurions. 
 

Husband & wife team, Drs. Tony and Leslie Maxwell returned to central Texas in 2011 to build their vision of healthcare, and reside with their four daughters and bird dogs. They opened Maximum Wellness Chiropractic in 2014. The Maxwell family resides in Wimberley, Texas.

About Dr. Leslie Maxwell, DC

Dr. Leslie Maxwell (“The Dancing Doc”) is a co-owner of Maximum Wellness Chiropractic, a female chiropractor and adjunct lecturer for the Theatre and Dance department of the University of Texas at Austin. From an early age,
Dr. Leslie developed a passion for dance, performance movement and the benefits associated with living a healthy life. Her lifetime of dance lessons, performances and competitions ultimately led her to Kilgore College where she performed as a Rangerette and Swingster. After suffering from an acute hip injury her freshman year of college, she went for her first visit to a chiropractor, experienced immediate relief and became fascinated with the profession. 

 

Dr. Leslie completed dual degrees at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Theatre and Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. As a clinician and educator, Dr. Leslie emphasizes proper biomechanics to improve joint function, reduce pain and enhance performance.

Dr. Leslie's passion for movement and its studies has led her back to the hill country with the intent to enhance her communities’ daily performance.
She is often seen dancing around the clinic, and on occasion will sing her patients a happy tune!

About Dr. Tony Maxwell, DC

Dr. William “Tony” Maxwell, DC is a co-owner of Maximum Wellness Chiropractic, an orthopedic minded chiropractor, connoisseur of food and a Texas barbecue enthusiast. As a young man, he competed on the gridiron and was a member of the Black Cats 2000 4A Texas State Champion football team. 

 

Dr. Tony attended Wharton County Junior College, where he received an Associate Degree in Applied Science. After 4 years of working in the petroleum industry he decided to take a more proactive move in his career and made a change to the healthcare field.

 

Dr. Tony went on to Texas Chiropractic College and completed a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. During his studies, he held the position as class President and was honored as Who’s Who Among Colleges and Universities. From many outstanding candidates, he was chosen to complete clinical rotations with the Rice University Athletic Department and Cenikor Rehabilitation Foundation. Since beginning his practice in 2011, Dr. Tony has received specialized training in orthopedic procedures and

worked side-by-side with family practice providers. He holds additional certifications in soft tissue manipulation techniques, Athletic TIPS certification, post-concussion syndrome: return to play guidelines and is kept up to date on continuing education hours to provide patients with the most comprehensive chiropractic care available. Dr. Tony Maxwell is also an adjunct faculty-preceptor doctor for Texas Chiropractic College.
Dr. Tony was honored to be recognized in 2019 as Texas Regional Bank's Hometown Hero. He was also the recipient of the 2021 VFW Post 6441 Patriot of the Year Award for his continued support to the local veteran community.
