Q: Do I Have To Come Back For Several Treatments?

For some patients, obtaining correct spinal alignment may require more treatments and/or extensive retraining. There are times when one treatment significantly or completely alleviates a patient's pain, however this does not always occur and should not be expected. Understand that your pain is only a symptom, and correction of your problem will likely take more than one treatment.

Q: Is An Adjustment Painful?
Chiropractic treatments are extremely safe for individuals of all ages. Chiropractic treatments are safe because we only use natural and noninvasive methods of care. Research consistently shows that care from chiropractors is among the safest care available and is literally light years ahead of traditional medical care in terms of “safeness”.

Most of the time adjustments are very comfortable. Most patients can’t wait to get their adjustment because they know how good it is going to feel and how much relief they are going to get. However, it is normal to have soreness after your first adjustment. The soreness may feel like you recently exercised. It shouldn’t last any longer than a day or two, and resolves readily with help from home care stretches prescribed by your doctor at the time of your appointment.

Q: What Is The Popping Sound Heard With An Adjustment?
Many times a popping sound is heard when a joint is adjusted. This sound is normal and is actually nitrogen gas coming out of solution from your joint fluid. The sound is the same thing you hear when someone “pops” their knuckles.

Q: What is Soft Tissue Manipulation or Myofascial Release?

Soft tissue manipulation, also known as myofascial release, is a form of manual therapy where your licensed provider uses hands-on or instrument assisted techniques on your muscles, ligaments and fascia with the goal of breaking adhesions and optimizing your muscle function.

Q: What If I Already Had Spinal Surgery?
Individuals who have already had spinal surgery can still receive chiropractic treatment in most cases, as long as your surgery has had time to completely heal. There are few instances where chiropractic treatment can not be utilized. The doctors will determine whether chiropractic treatment can be used in your case.

Our doctors  will readily refer patients to the appropriate health care provider when chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient’s condition, or the condition warrants co-management in conjunction with other health care providers.

We are no longer accepting Cigna, TriCare or Oscar insurance.
