Our treatment is designed to help the body heal itself by attempting to restore normal function. We find that combining Eastern and Western methods of treatment provide the best outcomes for our patients and allow us to treat a wider variety of conditions than with just chiropractic alone. We maintain good relationships with medical doctors in the area, so co-managing treatment is effortless on the patient’s part!
​​Chiropractic Manipulation
Our doctors practice primarily diversified adjusting. Diversified is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by our hands. The objective is to restore proper movement, alignment of spine and joint dysfunction.
MWC also provides the option of using the Activator or Flexion-Distraction table. The Activator, which is a small handheld spring-loaded instrument, delivers a small impulse to the spine as an alternative to manual manipulation of the spine or extremity joints. The Flexion Distraction table is a spring loaded table that allows the provider to pump the joints and discs of the spine creating an axial stretch and removing nerve interference.
Spinal Decompression Therapy
Spinal decompression therapy helps stretch and extend the spine to relieve pressure from the discs and joints in the spine and decompress any impacted nerve. As the body ages, the vertebrae in the spine become compressed due to age and weight gain. As the vertebrae compress, they clamp the joints and discs found between each set of vertebrae. This may cause the discs or joints to flatten and expand, moving outside of the normal parameters of the spine and impacting a local nerve.
Active Care/Rehabilitation
Our doctors are certified through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in physiotherapy. MWC provides physio-therapy and rehabilitation for various injuries and conditions.
Both doctors have a vast knowledge in rehabilitation and musculoskeletal systems and will design a personalized rehabilitation protocol for each patient to help them return to health and prevent future injuries from occurring.
Kinesio Tape
The Kinesio Taping Method is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It is used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions. Both Kinesio® Tex Tape and the training protocol have shown results that would have been unheard of using older methods and materials.

Pregnancy Care
Chiropractic evaluation and treatment is a safe and effective means of treating the physical aches and pains that appear during pregnancy. Studies show that 75% of pregnant chiropractic patients found relief from low back pain during pregnancy.
Spinal malpositions alter joint motion and can create nerve irritation. Most commonly it is presented in sciatic type pain during pregnancy. The goal with chiropractic care during pregnancy is to remove the irritation and increase the chance to conceive and carry comfortably. The more comfortable mom is during pregnancy, the better facilitation of an uncomplicated labor and delivery.
